We ran the 7th edition of the International Quilt Show in Dubai during the last weekend of February, 2020 at the Roda Al Murooj Hotel, Downtown Dubai. A BIG thank you to all our visitors who came in from different countries and cities- your energy and participation has made this event one that we will cherish for a long time.
Some fun show facts that we have gathered 1. We recorded a total foot traffic of 2,500 registered visitors over all 3 days of the show
2. We were sponsored and well supported from a larger group of companies in the sewing industry. Thank you again to our Show Partners
3. Classes by Nancy Prince, Amanda Murphy, Jan Krantz and Jane Howarth - COMPLETELY SOLD OUT! Thankful to all of you who made it and were part of the learning process!
4. We introduced a SELLER’S MARKET - which was well represented by local and foreign small businesses and home-based crafters, who used the Quilt Show Platform to market their businesses and sell their products/services

5. A BIGGER QUILT EXHIBITION! Officially, we had 158 quilts sent in from all over the world, spanning 8 categories. Three categories were brand new: The Young Quilters, Quilted Creations and Miniature Quilts.
Thanks to our partners, we were able to bring out 33 different prizes across the entire exhibition.
BEST OF SHOW went to a Free Motion WholeCloth Quilt done by Brinda Srikanth, Titled “ONYX”. The prize awarded was a BERNINA 770 Quilter’s Edition Sewing Machine, Tula Pink Special Edition RUNNER’s UP prize was awarded to Svetlana Babic for her Mosaic Themed Quilt “STREETS OF BIRGU”. The prize was a BROTHER INNOV-IS V7 Sewing Machine and Embroidery System.

7. Finally, we raised a whooping AED 10,000 for the Dubai Cares Foundation, via our Quilt Show Charity Quilt. Thank you to the ladies of the Dubai Quilter’s Circle for piecing this quilt and Classic Quilts for Quilting it Free of Charge!
Right after the show, the world has gone through so much with respect to COVID! We are extremely grateful to have run our 7th Edition and we invite you all to think ahead for good times in 2022, where we anticipate to run Dubai’s NEXT Quilting Festival.
