Description

Learn the basics of ruler work with BERNINA Expert Amanda Murphy. Amanda will guide you through creating some of her favorite designs with straight line and circle rulers. The amount you can do with just these basic shapes is amazing! You'll learn to successfully quilt with rulers on a domestic machine and you'll explore using the marks on the rulers to create a variety of patterns.

 

Materials List

Students should bring :

• Marking tool of their choice
• Cutting ruler or some sort to mark measurements (12'' or 12-1/2'' in one direction is great!)
• BERNINA users : Machine with #72 foot and tray table or sew steady table
Non - BERNINA users would bring with them a ruler foot for their machine with extension table (slide on table)
• We will have Amanda's quilting rulers available to use in class and also to purchase
• 3 fat quarter quilt sandwiches that we can section off
• 90/14 topstitch needles
• 50 wt. Aurifil thread
• Snips (scissors)

 

In addition, students should bring the following items, if they own them :

• Quilting Gloves
• Supreme Slider or Free-Motion Glider
